Job Summary
Collect, clean, transform, and analyze large structured and unstructured data sets from multiple sources to identify trends and support decision-making across USSOCOM. Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other BI platforms while writing SQL and Excel queries to extract and manipulate data from enterprise and legacy databases. Collaborate with database administrators, system engineers, and mission stakeholders to design user-friendly reports, troubleshoot data access issues, and ensure compliance with data governance and cybersecurity standards. Document data sources and processes for audit readiness and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance and familiarity with data modeling and programming languages.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 6 years of relevant experience
- 4 years experience with Associate's degree
- 2 years experience with Bachelor's degree
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance or higher
- DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 422 - Data Analyst- Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26
- Experience in data modeling, transformation, and visualization
- Familiarity with SQL and experience writing queries for data extraction and analysis
- Knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or .NET)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Access
- Ability to develop data visualizations that inform leadership decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Highly desired experience with Microsoft SharePoint integration for data visualization or workflow automation
