Job Summary
Site Work Crew Leader / Foreman position in Venice (Heavy Equipment): hands-on field technician who leads a small crew of 1–2 on erosion control and BMP installation across the Sarasota–Venice–North Port corridor. Operates a Ditch Witch SK900 and a company cab-over truck/trailer, coordinates tasks, trains new hires, and ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance (Florida NPDES). Read and interpret site/grading plans, manage materials, and communicate professionally with site superintendents. Competitive hourly pay ($20–$24) with overtime after 40 hours and a monthly bonus; full-time with year-round work. CDL is a strong plus; bilingual English/Spanish is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driverLicense required or CDL a plus
- Holds a valid driver's license with clean record (CDL a plus)
- Field leadership experience leading 1-2 person crews
- Ability to read site and grading plans
- Experience operating a Ditch Witch SK900 (or similar) mini skid steer/trencher
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a strong plus
- Physical ability to perform labor-heavy site work in outdoor conditions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
