Job Summary
Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer locations. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site, perform post-repair audits, and document findings with corrective actions and safety notifications. Consult with customers on repair and safety issues, produce electronic documentation, and maintain company-issued equipment and vehicles. Provide on-call service as part of a rotation, including after-hours support, while following established safety rules and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field
- Equivalent vocational/technical training and experience
- Minimum one (1) year experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair
- Some electronic experience
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Willingness to work off the ground
- Ability to work varied overtime, as needed by customer
- Availability for on-call as part of the service office rotation
- Ability to travel and work out of town, on occasion
- Ability to frequently lift to 25 lbs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis
- Ability to lift to 75 lbs although not on a daily basis
- Ability to lift 100 lbs on a rare basis
- Ability to frequently climb
- Ability to balance
- Ability to stoop/crouch
- Ability to reach overhead
- Ability to push
- Ability to pull
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to crawl
- Ability to work inside approximately 90% of the time
- Ability to work outside approximately 10% of the time

- Knowledge of industry codes and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI)
