Job Summary
Perform on-site transformer maintenance, repairs, inspections, and life extension services at customer locations. Execute transformer assembly and installation tasks, diagnose faults, and implement technical solutions while conducting routine and non-routine testing. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, industry regulations, and engineering specifications. Maintain accurate service records, technical reports, and documentation for completed work. Lead small teams to ensure safe, productive practices and act as the primary interface with customers to communicate technical information and build relationships. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and safety. Valid Electrical License and experience in transformer assembly, maintenance, and field service required. Relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Electrical License (mandatory)
- Proven experience in transformer assembly, maintenance, and field service
- Solid understanding of transformer testing methods and diagnostic techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to complete reports and documentation
- Ability to work in remote FIFO environments and adapt to changing site conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound technical judgment
- Ability to work both independently and within a structured framework
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead small teams and coordinate tasks on-site
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Well-organised with the ability to plan, prioritise, and execute work efficiently
Desired Qualifications
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) certification
- Working at Heights certification
- Confined Space Entry certification
- Experience with high-voltage equipment and systems
- Familiarity with condition monitoring and advanced diagnostic tools
