Job Summary
Site Technical Manager (HVAC) leads on-site HVAC technicians and provides technical direction for planned PM work, daily service calls, and capital projects across the Hudson Valley iCampus in Rockland County. Responsibilities include training and developing the HVAC team, overseeing troubleshooting and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems and building controls, providing cost estimates for repairs and tenant improvements, coordinating with Property Management, ensuring tenant comfort, and driving continuous improvement through technical leadership, procedures, and collaboration with operations and vendors. Requires substantial HVAC expertise, building automation knowledge, leadership skills, ability to mentor field technicians, strong communication, and the capacity to manage multiple projects while upholding company policies and safety/compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Trade school accreditation or length of field service (15+years) of commercial real estate experience
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team of HVAC technicians in a large commercial or industrial environment
- Deep expertise in commercial HVAC systems, building controls, and central utility plant operations
- Ability to assess technical scope, provide HVAC repair and project cost estimates, and interpret operational performance data to guide team priorities
- Ability to multitask and simultaneously manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Strong knowledge of BMS, PM programs, work-order systems, Microsoft Office, and other industry-related software tools. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and equipment specifications
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 50 lbs and carry tools, equipment, and supplies commonly used in the performance of job functions
