Job Summary
Site Surveyor (Solar) will perform site audits and collect technical data for solar system design in Massachusetts. Responsibilities include managing a schedule, creating rooftop maps with dimensions and roof penetrations, conducting site surveys, collecting shading data, using auditing tools (tablet PC, measuring devices, CRM, digital camera), preparing site audit documents for design/engineering to produce permit-ready documents, and coordinating with teams. Requires travel, roof work experience, and strong communication skills; daily travel to job sites; safety compliance. On-site role based in Springfield and Boston, MA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of roof work or general construction experience
- Ability to understand, read, and comprehend contract documents and plans
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to safely handle power tools and hand tools as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment
- Daily travel to work site
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
