Job Summary
Supervise day-to-day construction activities on major infrastructure projects in Ireland, including metro, aviation, rail, water, and highway schemes. Monitor contractor performance against safety, quality, environmental, and programme requirements while acting as the client's representative to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and standards. Review drawings, method statements, and risk assessments to support delivery of works to agreed time, cost, and quality targets. Identify and escalate risks, issues, and non-conformances, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve them effectively. Record site progress, maintain accurate documentation, and support inspection, testing, and commissioning activities. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a site supervision role on major infrastructure or construction projects
- Enabling works experience
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and site-based delivery
- Experience working in a client, consultant or contractor environment with responsibility for site works
- Understanding and application of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset
- Experience supporting quality assurance, inspections and compliance activities
- Knowledge and experience of NEC4 contract suite
- Commercial awareness
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g. engineering, construction management) or equivalent experience
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. EI, ICE, CIOB, ICES) or working towards accreditation
