Site Supervisor

Site Supervisor (HWRC) with responsibility for directly supervising operatives, implementing pre-defined working systems, and ensuring safe, compliant operation of HWRCs. Responsibilities include directing and assisting HWRC operatives, ensuring daily task lists and operating standards are met, recording and reporting information accurately, issuing clear instructions to staff, leading by example, delivering high levels of customer service, promoting recycling and waste re-use, maintaining health and safety standards, operating specialist equipment (e.g., excavators), training others in equipment use, coordinating with contractors to ensure site rules and standards are followed, pre-planning tasks to ensure continuity during absences, and supporting the Site Manager. Additional duties include engaging with customers, managing difficult situations, and ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and health and safety standards. The role may require working at other facilities within a reasonable distance and performing competency renewals as needed. Bank holidays and relevant travel arrangements may apply.
