Job Summary

Manage the operations of a project site's LDAR program by prioritizing work assignments, providing leadership to direct reports, and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local fugitive air emission regulations. Prepare and distribute operational reports, generate Inspection Progress Reports, and maintain required reports for customers to measure productivity. Oversee the integrity of data in the LDAR data management system, perform daily QA/QC activities, and ensure precision calibration procedures for monitoring instruments. Address operational and quality compliance issues immediately while managing inventory of equipment and supplies. Conduct new hire recruiting, interviewing, and on-boarding, including initial training. Lead weekly safety meetings, attend client safety meetings, and uphold safety policies as the site safety ambassador.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have strong interpersonal (written and verbal), communications skills
  • Highly proficient in various types of LDAR data management programs
  • Ability to effectively use basic software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, Track timekeeping, and other miscellaneous enterprise management systems
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively lead a team comprised of multiple levels of competencies
  • Able to provide coaching and mentoring where needed to help others to achieve success
  • Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost management, and team member deployment
  • Able to cost-effectively manage and track site expenditures and resource management
  • Ensure timely completions of all inspections to maintain regulatory compliance and delivering set revenue expectations
  • Ability to properly investigate potential compliance issues and determine root cause of problems before elevating the issue to customer or Regional Manager
  • Ability to review, decipher and accurately apply LDAR compliance regulations issued by local, State and Federal agencies
  • Ability to read and decipher Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Ability to distinguish and understand the mechanical operations of various types of process valves
  • Knowledge of refining process equipment (i.e., exchanger, vessel, pump, compressor, etc.) and how they operate
  • Must possess an understanding of AEM's Standard Operating Procedures, Health & Safety Mgmt System
  • Must possess a deep understanding of AEM's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Health & Safety Management System
  • Must be able to ensure all work is conducted in a safe and healthy manner
  • Must be able to ensure the weekly safety meeting are managed
  • Must be able to attend client safety meetings as required
  • Must be able to uphold the AEM safety policies and described in the SOP
  • Must be able to oversee the work, progress and productivity of AEM personnel assigned to the site or project
  • Must be able to Generate Inspection Progress Reports
  • Must be able to Perform daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly QA/QC activities
  • Must be able to Oversee the integrity, accuracy and security of all data maintained by the project's LDAR data management system
  • Must be able to Use LDAR data management system to ensure compliance with all inventorying, monitoring, repair and reinspection requirements
  • Must be able to Generate and maintain required reports for customer to measure productivity
  • Must be able to Ensure operational and quality compliance issues are rectified immediately
  • Must be able to Participate in new hire recruiting and interviewing
  • Must be able to Lead new hire on-boarding which includes conducting and/or overseeing new hire initial training
  • Must be able to Ensure the accuracy and quality of the precision calibration procedures executed for monitoring instruments per EPA Method 21
  • Must be able to Maintain inventory of all company equipment
  • Must be able to ensure preventative maintenance steps are implemented
  • Must be able to address damaged equipment needing repair
  • Must be able to Maintain inventory of all on-site material/supplies
  • Must be able to purchase/order new supplies as needed
  • Must be able to work outdoors in petroleum refinery or chemical processing facility
  • Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions (extreme hot/cold and inclement weather)
  • Must be able to carry a testing device, data logger, hand tools and miscellaneous equipment that weigh about 15-20 lbs
  • Must be able to ascend stairs, climbing vertical ladders, and working from elevated heights
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes a hardhat, fire retardant coveralls, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety boots and when required, a 5- point safety harness
