Job Summary
Direct and oversee all day-to-day field operations for assigned commercial projects, planning and sequencing work to maintain schedule and productivity. Supervise in-house carpenters and laborers while coordinating subcontractor activities to ensure alignment with timelines and quality standards. Lead regular site meetings, communicate updates to stakeholders, and enforce safety protocols by developing site-specific safety plans and conducting inspections. Review technical documents, conduct routine inspections, and manage punch list processes through project closeout. Monitor milestones, coordinate regulatory inspections, and oversee material inventory. Maintain accurate daily logs and reports. This role ensures work is executed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in strict accordance with contract documents and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supervising commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and industry best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
- Effective leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive commercial construction experience, including field supervision responsibilities
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Demonstrates professionalism, cooperation, and respect in all interactions
- Complies with all company policies and acknowledges understanding of Chinburg Code of Safety Practices
- Completes required training programs as assigned
- OSHA certification (required or preferred based on regional standards)
- Must be available for weekend work
- Must be able to work in outdoor elements, noise, dust, and heavy equipment
- Must be able to work extended hours
- Must be able to handle limited travel based on project demands
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with construction management software and mobile reporting tools
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
