Job Summary
Manage all contractual requirements and deliverables for operations, logistics, and maintenance support to Commander Navy Region Southeast, ensuring timely completion, quality, and budget adherence. Provide day-to-day supervision over BOMS personnel, including Coxswains, Deckhands, and Boat Technicians, while directing work, resolving employee complaints, and handling disciplinary measures. Develop objectives, allocate resources, and establish policies to improve business processes and document quality assurance checks for maintenance and repair.
Required Qualifications
- Ten (10) years' of relevant experience in waterfront operations management
- Ten (10) years' of relevant experience in project management
- Resume documented leadership
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- Full understanding of training evolutions required to support all aspects of harbor operations
- Full understanding of training evolutions required to support small boat operations
- Full understanding of training evolutions required to support work boat operations
- Full understanding of training evolutions required to support oil spill response
- Full understanding of facility response plans
- Full understanding of oil spill booming strategies
- Ability to guide and direct small boat maintenance
- Ability to guide and direct outboard engine maintenance
- Ability to guide and direct diesel engine maintenance
- Ability to guide and direct hull predictive maintenance
- Ability to guide and direct preventive maintenance
- Ability to guide and direct corrective maintenance
- In-depth understanding of United States Coast Guard licensing requirements
- Ability to schedule required manpower for ship movements and operations
- Ability to schedule required equipment for ship movements and operations
- Knowledge of American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) standards
- Knowledge of American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) standards
- Ability to develop shipyard and ship repair work packages with specifications
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Excel
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Outlook
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - PowerPoint
