Job Summary
Lead a team of sales assistants and site workers to ensure safe and efficient daily nursery operations, including customer service, supplier negotiation, and maintaining optimum product conditions. Enforce compliance with ASQ policies and WHSE management systems while allocating tasks based on staff strengths. Manage recruitment, provide training and feedback, and offer insights on plant ordering to enhance the product range. Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and availability. This role requires a horticulture qualification and two years of supervisory experience, with weekend and public holiday shifts including penalty rates. Required Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Horticulture or appropriate industry training courses
- Minimum two years of horticulture and supervisory experience
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems
- Strong work ethic
- Organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to promote a culture of teamwork
- Completion of medicals, including drug and alcohol screening
