Job Summary
Oversee all work crews, sub-trades, and visitors on Wales McLelland sites while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Direct field staff to achieve project completion on schedule and within budget by managing day-to-day activities, preparing schedules, and maintaining organized job sites. Proactively identify potential delays, manage scope changes, order materials, and prepare as-built drawings. Liaise with the Project Manager, expedite deficiency lists, and maintain daily paperwork including timecards and field reports. Ensure all personnel adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Superintendent working for a General Contractor
- Successful track-record in completion of commercial or industrial projects ($5-$20 Million Project Value)
- Demonstrated understanding of construction means and methods associated with construction of commercial buildings, tenant improvements and related site-work
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to lead by example and set standard of professionalism
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, SiteMax (Project Tracking/Timecard System)
- Candidates who are eligible to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Concrete experience like tilt-Up and cast-in-place
- Construction Management certificate/diploma or Trade Qualification
