Job Summary
Site Superintendent overseeing commercial construction projects across Manitoba. Responsible for pre-construction management, developing and maintaining master project schedules with input from subcontractors, safety and environmental planning, contract reviews with the Project Manager, selection of trade subcontractors, and construction management including planning, directing, and controlling daily operations. Duties include managing site logistics, budgeting and forecasting materials, productivity measurement, quality management, approvals of timesheets, weekly toolbox talks and subcontract progress meetings, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, coordinating commissioning and handover plans, managing permit requirements and inspections, and maintaining clear communication with the Project Manager and project team. Travel to sites within Manitoba and Saskatchewan is required. Qualifications emphasize undergraduate degree or diploma in CM/engineering (preferred), First Aid/WHMIS, valid license, 3+ years in construction, contract administration, familiarity with MS Project/Procore, and strong leadership and communication skills. Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or another relevant field preferred
- Certification of First Aid/CPR, WHMIS
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- 3+ years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably Commercial construction management
- Strong familiarity with contract administration, drawings, specifications, and building practices including building codes
- Experience with MS Word, Outlook, MS Project, Procore
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines
- Ability to travel to site (within MB/SK)
