Job Summary
Create and execute the project plan and schedule while ensuring budget compliance. Supervise and coordinate all construction activities, directing Assistant Superintendents, Coordinators, and hourly Foremen. Develop site-specific plans and procedures to implement the Site-Specific Safety Program and maintain accurate record keeping. Verify that materials and workmanship meet quality standards and design requirements. Assist engineers, designers, inspectors, and municipal authorities in obtaining necessary information. Resolve potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties while anticipating and addressing project issues. Requires 10+ years of progressive construction experience, including supervising mid-rise or high-rise residential projects and parking structures.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years' progressive construction related experience
- Experience supervising mid-rise or high-rise residential projects
- Experience in parking structure construction and wood frame
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry operations, construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures
- Ability to lead and assess trade performance on the job
- Experience applying basic engineering principles to construction challenges
- Able to visualize the entire project and anticipate constructibility issues and embed solutions in the construction plans and schedules
- Ability to manage others and many facets of the construction project and assume responsibility
- Knowledge of OH&S legislation, policies and procedures
