Job Summary
Lead site operations for a luxury home development in the Niagara Region by assessing trade performance, visualizing the entire project, and anticipating constructability issues to embed solutions in construction plans and schedules. Schedule, monitor, and forecast resources for optimum efficiency while applying basic engineering principles to construction challenges. Manage all facets of the construction project, ensuring adherence to OH&S legislation, policies, and procedures. Anticipate and resolve critical path schedule issues through effective oral and written communication.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry operations
- Knowledge of construction specifications
- Knowledge of building materials
- Knowledge of construction methods and procedures
- Ability to lead and assess trade performance on the job
- Experience applying basic engineering principles to construction challenges
- Ability to visualize the entire project and anticipate constructability issues and embed solutions in the construction plans and schedules
- Ability to visualize and create the project schedules critical path
- Ability to schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency
- Ability to manage others and many facets of the construction project and assume responsibility
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of OH&S legislation, policies and procedures
- 10+ years of experience in low-rise construction
- Degree or Diploma in construction related program OR equivalent experience
