Job Summary
Direct and coordinate daily on-site construction activities for secure classroom repair and renovation at Fort McNair, managing subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, and work sequencing across occupied, access-controlled federal facilities. Manage day-to-day production against the critical path schedule, lead short-interval planning, and enforce contract drawings, specifications, and secure-construction details while coordinating with the design team, USACE representatives, and facility users. Implement the Accident Prevention Plan, maintain site logistics and access controls, and ensure accurate daily field documentation for RMS/QC reporting. Lead the project through commissioning, punch completion, and final Government acceptance, maintaining full physical presence whenever contract work is performed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience
- At least 5 years as a superintendent on projects of similar size and complexity
- Demonstrated superintendent experience on federal design-build renovation projects
- USACE or Department of Defense project experience
- Relevant experience with secure ICD/ICS 705 projects
- Experience with SCIF or comparable controlled-space construction
- Multidisciplinary building systems coordination
- Working knowledge of UFGS 01 45 00.00 10 quality control
- Working knowledge of USACE three-phase control
- Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements
- Working knowledge of federal construction documentation practices
- Ability to interpret critical path schedules
- Ability to interpret construction drawings
- Ability to interpret specifications
- Ability to interpret submittals
- Ability to interpret coordination drawings
- Ability to interpret secure-construction requirements
- Proven ability to lead subcontractors
- Proven ability to lead field teams

- Fluent English reading skills

- Ability to remain on site whenever contract work is in progress
Desired Qualifications
- USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification
- Active Secret clearance
- Recent eligibility for a federal security clearance
- Trade license
- Degree in construction management
- Degree in a related field
- Equivalent combination of education and field experience

- Experience with comparable scheduling software
- Experience with Bluebeam
- Experience with Microsoft Office
