Job Summary
Lead, supervise, and mentor field staff on-site while managing daily construction activities and ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules. Conduct regular site inspections, safety meetings, and quality control checks to maintain strict safety standards and promote a safe work environment. Collaborate effectively with subcontractors, trade partners, project managers, consultants, and client representatives to resolve on-site issues and monitor progress against the schedule. Foster a supportive, collaborative team environment that encourages open communication and mutual respect among all members. Requires 5–10 years of experience with design-builds, Gold Seal Certification, and knowledge of the Ontario Building Code. Valid driver's license and full-time on-site availability required.
Required Qualifications
- 5 - 10 years in a related role
- Must have experience with design-builds
- Must have a Gold Seal Certification or equivalent professional designation
- OHSA certification and other relevant safety training
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code and municipal requirements
- Lean construction or other methodology experience
- Proven success leading large-scale commercial, institutional, and high-rise building projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and scheduling
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to foster collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools
- Valid driver's license and ability to work full-time on-site
