Job Summary
Site Superintendent is the on-site company representative responsible for planning, directing and coordinating construction activities to meet schedule, specifications and budget. Responsibilities include leading safety practices, supervising field staff, liaising with engineers and owners, maintaining daily logs and site paperwork, coordinating sub-contractors, finalizing change orders, coding billable details, and ensuring quality control and customer satisfaction. Requires knowledge of construction standards, strong written/verbal communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office and HCSS Heavy Job Manager, and the ability to manage time and risks in a fast-paced environment. Requires 5-10 years civil/excavation experience with 2-5 years project management and a valid BC driver’s licence; engineering technologist or equivalent education is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers’ Licence
- 5-10 years civil/excavation experience
- 2-5 years Project Management experience
- Engineering technologist or equivalent education
- Additional management training through seminars or extended education classes are an asset
