Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of the Arena perimeter, including plazas, parking lots, and garages, on foot before, during, and after special events. Prevent vehicle damage or property theft by monitoring parked vehicles and providing visible deterrence to unwanted activity. Control traffic flow at entrances and exits using hand signals, flashlights, and two-way radios while assisting guests with vehicle location and escorts. Set up and relocate portable fencing, traffic cones, and signs to manage entry and exit points. Maintain situational awareness, report emergencies via radio, and coordinate with the Security Manager on policy exceptions. Inspect facilities for safety and cleanliness, removing debris as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months of experience working security in a parking lot or garage
- Prior experience in a customer care environment is a plus!
- Excellent customer service, active listening, team building, teamwork, and observational skills
- Previous experience operating a two-way radio, flashlights, and advising/controlling traffic
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, policies, and procedures
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Willing and able to work efficiently in all forms of weather (wind, heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance always
- Be able to work a flexible schedule on 2nd and 3rd shift including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Can resolve and unforeseen job-related issues without assistance
