Job Summary

Promote safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture among all site and field personnel. Assist with the administration of the Accident Prevention Plan, policies, and procedures on jobsites by utilizing safety resources such as training and mitigating unsafe practices. Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted on time and in accordance with client requirements. Collaborate with the site safety manager and field teams to develop and implement safety policies, monitor their effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvement. Conduct investigations and evaluations of injuries and illnesses for the project site while maintaining positive relationships with all trades, vendors, co-workers, and customers. This safety-sensitive role requires spending 80% of daily time in the field, working 50-60 hour weeks, and lifting 40 pounds independently. OSHA 30 and 510 certifications are required, with bilingual Spanish and English skills preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years' experience in construction safety
  • OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 certification
  • At least 18 years old
  • Strong verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively convey information to employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Previous Fall Protection & Confined Space Training
  • Provided safety oversight for a minimum of 15 craft in the field
  • Capable of spending 80% of daily time in the field with craft
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic with labor experience in the field
  • Able to work 50-60 hour work weeks
  • Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds independently
  • Local to Austin, TX metro Area
  • Drug and alcohol testing as part of the hiring process and throughout employment

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Degree in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety
  • Previous experience conducting safety training
