Site Safety Manager with AIS Infrastructure

Job Summary
Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses to identify workplace hazards. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss situations, preparing detailed reports with corrective action recommendations. Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into project plans and provide training on safe work practices and PPE. Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, and incidents while monitoring program effectiveness. This role requires a minimum of five years in site safety for heavy civil projects, including vertical and horizontal construction, and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety programs and site safety management for large construction projects
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations
- Strong knowledge of construction and industrial safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees, contractors, and stakeholders
- Ability to lead and facilitate safety training sessions and meetings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify safety hazards and develop effective solutions
- Attention to detail and ability to enforce safety protocols consistently
- Experience and knowledge with vertical construction work
- Experience with heavy civil/horizontal construction projects involving mass excavation, grading, trenching, heavy concrete, underground utilities
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field
- Construction Quality Control experience
