Job Summary
Implement and manage the solar energy project safety program for roads, foundations, high-voltage electrical works, and solar arrays. Supervise safety specialists and conduct audits, inspections, and surveillance to ensure field safety needs are addressed. Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near misses while tracking corrective actions in accordance with Signal Energy's policies. Champion the ALLSAFE cultural safety program and assist in developing site-specific safety plans including emergency and evacuation protocols. Communicate and enforce safety policies for all personnel, ensuring requisite training is completed. Solve problems through direct communication and lead the project team in continuously assessing work safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction safety management or related
- 10+ years of experience in construction safety management
- Experience in managing, organizing, directing, and leading construction Safety
- Experience in investigating, documenting, and developing corrective actions for accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and enforcing project environmental protection plans
- External/Internal proven safety auditing experience and knowledge of OSHA standards
- NFPA 70E
- OSHA 30 Hour Minimum
- OSHA 500 or 510
- First Aid/CPR/AED
- CHST minimum - BCSP preferred
