Job Summary
Develop and implement an effective site-specific EHS plan while coordinating subcontractor protocols and conducting quarterly comprehensive on-site audits. Periodically inspect project sites for regulatory compliance, conduct accident investigations, and complete incident reporting for Project Management review. Manage the Drug-Free Workplace Policy, administer the SPAT process, and provide training on EHS requirements including new hire orientation. Deliver weekly EHS updates to leadership and advise on industrial hygiene and environmental monitoring protocols. This role supports the Project Manager in eliminating hazards and minimizing risks across construction projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field
- Excellent communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize, organize and manage time
- Knowledge of regulations and standards
- Hazard recognition and injury management skills
- Some travel required
- Ability to stand
- Ability to sit
- Ability to walk
- Ability to climb stairs or ladders
