Job Summary
Site Reliability Engineer L2 at Thales focusing on DevOps within an Agile environment. You will participate in daily team events, regularly deliver and deploy increments of applications, maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensure nominal operation with appropriate alert thresholds, monitor feature usage, and quickly diagnose and prevent production issues. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, incident management, and collaboration with teammates to adopt the latest technologies. Required skills include DevOps knowledge, cloud platforms, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), automation and IaC (Terraform, Ansible), scripting (Go, Python, Bash), and monitoring tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). Nice-to-have domain knowledge in cybersecurity basics and networking.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven experience in Agile or DevOps teams
- Ability to handle application lifecycle from development to incident management, including automated testing, automated deployment, live monitoring, and KPI tracking
- Strong knowledge of DevOps, digital stack, and Cloud Platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Knowledge of Networking and Cybersecurity basics
- Experience with containers development and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with automation and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Scripting skills (Go, Python, Bash) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions)
- Monitoring and incident management (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Willingness to participate in ongoing learning and improvements
- Ability to work within an Agile team and contribute to continuous improvement
- Master's degree emphasis on engineering or computer science or related field
