Site Reliability Engineer SRE - FedRAMP High IL5

Job Summary

Design, implement, and operate Kubernetes platforms within FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 environments while supporting day-to-day reliability, performance monitoring, and alerting. Implement automation and tooling to enhance operational efficiency, define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, and maintain compliance through audit support and continuous monitoring. Contribute to infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipeline improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues and deliver platform capabilities. Participate in on-call rotations for customer requests and paging alerts. This hands-on engineering role focuses on building scalable infrastructure for Meraki's cloud platform in regulated settings.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
  • Experience with Kubernetes in production environments
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Go)
  • Exposure to observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, logging systems)
  • 100% Remote role

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar; GovCloud experience a plus)
  • Experience working in FedRAMP High or DoD IL5 environments
  • Exposure to CI/CD systems and deployment automation (e.g., ArgoCD)
  • Familiarity with container security practices and tools
  • Experience supporting regulated or audited systems
