Job Summary
Site Reliability Engineer to maintain and improve uptime and availability across RingCentral services. Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate monitoring into the software development lifecycle, drive improvements to monitoring, troubleshooting, and self-healing, design redundancy and load-balancing strategies, assess risks to infrastructure, respond to on-call incidents, manage capacity in a growing environment, and extend observability across codebases. Ideal candidates have experience with containerization (Kubernetes), Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, and programming; proficiency in Linux and cloud platforms; and strong collaboration in a diverse, global team.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as an SRE or similar role
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Linux in-depth knowledge
- Knowledge of one of the programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, Bash, Go)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform?)
- Ability to work with globally distributed teams
- Fluent in English
