Job Summary
Lead and support the migration of on-premise corporate hardware systems into the WANDS/AWS cloud environment. Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, VPCs, networking, security controls, IAM, and related services. Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible to ensure scalable, repeatable, and auditable deployments. Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles across operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability. Perform Site Reliability Engineering functions, including automation of operational tasks, system hardening, and resilience engineering. Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system availability, performance, and rapid incident response. Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to improve system reliability and reduce operational toil. Identify and drive continuous improvements in cloud architecture, reliability, and operational processes.
Required Qualifications
- Sixteen (16) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph
- One of the following certifications: AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator-Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Certified Obervability Engineer
- Possession of a Cloud certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field
- Master's degree in a Technical Field
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation
