Job Summary
Site Reliability Engineer II at The Walt Disney Company in Bangalore is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure and services for large-scale production workloads. The role focuses on cloud engineering in AWS, automation and infrastructure as code with Terraform and Chef, and building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will troubleshoot across the full stack (network, server, OS, application, database, storage, identity/access management), support Linux environments with some Windows expertise, and participate in incident response and postmortems. Collaboration across teams, documentation, and a proactive approach to performance optimization and observability (Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch) are emphasized, with opportunities to contribute to multi-cloud strategies and advanced cloud architectures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps experience
- Expert-level experience with AWS and Linux server environments
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages: Terraform, Chef, Perl, Python, Go, JavaScript
- Experience with container technologies (Docker)
- Familiarity with data formats like JSON and XML
- Hands-on experience with code repositories (GitHub, GitLab)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and tools
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
