Job Summary
Site Reliability Engineer to build a resilient, efficient infrastructure for national-security-focused systems. You will improve reliability by implementing redundancy, monitoring, and automated self-repair, while reducing toil through scripting and automation. The role emphasizes cloud infrastructure and related tooling, with a focus on hardening and security posture. Required background includes Linux system engineering with AWS experience and familiarity with Jenkins, Packer, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Nessus, Jira, or Confluence. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, and candidates should be prepared to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC within 6 months. Prefer experience in cybersecurity concepts, RHEL administration, and knowledge of NIST 800-53 / NIST-190. The position may be remote or hybrid/onsite per unit needs, and involves identity verification processes and adherence to internal AI usage policies.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
- 3+ years Linux system engineering
- Experience patching Linux systems or installing applications on cloud infrastructure
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Jenkins, Packer, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Nessus, Jira, or Confluence
- Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC within 6 months
