Job Summary
Inspect welds and verify compliance per drawings and procedures; interpret Weld Map Isometric drawings using computer software; enter welding and inspection information into the tracking tool; assist with pressure testing plans and functions; assemble project documentation packages; perform and document inspections based on drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance; test welders and perform weld inspections under various codes; follow Project Quality Assurance Plans and Inspection and Test Plans (I&TPs); assist Site Quality Manager with daily activities; maintain Mullins core values and safety policies; travel and relocation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience as Quality Inspector or Quality Technician
- AWS CWI certification or ASNT VT II certification or API 510/570 certification
- Extensive knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT)
- Understanding of ASTM standards and materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and construction project management software (Procore preferred)
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed
- Experience reading and understanding drawings
- Experience with verification of mechanical equipment alignment
- Experience with codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, NACE)
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience assembling project documentation packages
- Familiarity with Weld Map Isometric drawings and welding inspections per codes
