Job Summary
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance. Process control through procedures, work instructions, and specifications while implementing all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System to ensure compliance. Perform root cause analysis, resolve problems, and identify business improvement opportunities within the organization. Manage internal and external audits, including supplier quality management, product identification, and traceability. Set department objectives, establish KPIs, and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports to ensure targets are met. This role supports the quality team in New Port Richey, FL, focusing on achieving quality targets for customers and meeting business goals within a global leader in high-tech filtration and separation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/manufacturing
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive quality assurance experience within a manufacturing and aerospace environment
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience, including experience managing people leaders, with demonstrated excellence in leadership, team management, and interpersonal effectiveness
- Strong in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision making
- Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience
- Experience dealing with customers and suppliers
- Proficient in Microsoft / Minitab and able to analyze and interpret data
Desired Qualifications
- ERP knowledge with SAP preferred
- Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and Safety Management Systems for Aerospace
- ASME or Machining background (CNC)
- Working with the FAA, CAA, or other Aerospace regulatory body
- Lean manufacturing experience is a plus
