Job Summary
SITE QUALITY LAB SUPERVISOR at OPmobility: lead and manage the laboratory for mobility-focused testing, define and approve test methods with the Plant Quality Manager, maintain OEM-specific test libraries, perform product and process control measurements for serial production, manage calibration and gauge reliability of measurement equipment, ensure compliance with customer requirements, support re-qualification testing for life of product, preserve customer master samples and boundary conditions, provide measurement and inspection support for supplier parts, train operators and supervisors on controls (e.g., color matching), participate in the Quality Improvement Roadmap, support the QRQC process, and liaise with Paint and Plastic Suppliers and Customers on color matching and batch control. The role emphasizes laboratory leadership, data management, calibration, testing, and cross-functional collaboration within an international automotive context.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Laboratory/chemistry experience
- Self-management and strong communication
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Laboratory inspection and testing methods development
- Laboratory test reporting
- Training/mentoring operators and supervisors in lab controls
- Ability to participate in Quality Improvement Roadmap and QRQC processes
- Strong problem-solving abilities and cross-functional liaison with suppliers and customers (paint and plastics)
