Job Summary
Lead frontline aviation operations at RAF Cosford, ensuring engineering, maintenance, safety, and flying activities meet contractual and customer requirements. Provide clear direction to onsite teams, manage operational performance, and engage with military and civilian stakeholders to maintain high standards of safety and compliance. Oversee reporting and performance data while upholding safety, regulatory, and company procedures across all site activities. Full time, 40 hours per week, based at RAF Cosford, Shropshire. Requires CTC security clearance and relevant aviation experience.
Required Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Human Factors qualification
- Recognised Safety, Health, Environment or Fire qualification
- Defence or aviation sector experience
- Security Clearance
- Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance
- Proven experience leading teams in a regulated operational or aviation environment
- Strong leadership capability, with confidence managing diverse, multi‐disciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders
- Demonstrable problem‐solving ability, using data and sound judgement to drive decisions
- Strong planning and organisational skills, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Based on site at RAF Cosford, Shropshire
