Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise the daily After School Program, ensuring staff deliver age-appropriate activities consistent with YMCA mission and core values. Manage program operations including opening and closing, safety standards, and implementing the curriculum within established guidelines. Supervise group leaders to ensure direct child supervision, conduct monthly fire and Code 99 drills, and maintain accurate records for licensing bodies. Collect program fees, dispense medication per physician orders, and submit equipment requests. Ensure all participants have fees paid prior to participation and maintain confidentiality. Adhere to YMCA, Polk County School Board, and State Licensing guidelines while modeling relationship-building skills with parents and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement - 21 years of age
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One-two years of experience in child care, management, or the equivalent
- CPR, First Aid, & AED certifications required within 30 days of employment
- Complete YMCA of the USA New Employee Orientation e-learning course
- Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law
Desired Qualifications

- Previous experience with diverse populations
