Job Summary
Site Manager leads the operational team and culture at a Waste Connections site in Penticton, overseeing health and safety, regulatory compliance, operations, finance and HR responsibilities. Tasks include driving a strong safety culture, developing and enforcing SOPs, ensuring regulatory standards are met, coordinating with Field Sales for customer service, managing budgets and forecasting revenue/costs, and building relationships with municipal partners. Requires a post-secondary degree, a Class 5 driver’s license, 5+ years of leadership experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The role carries full P&L responsibility and reports to the District Manager, with a focus on safe, cost-effective, compliant operations and a positive community impact.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree, preferably in business or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in solid waste collection/waste hauling operations
- A minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience in a management or supervisory position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
