Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of a senior nutrition site, supervising staff and coordinating both congregate and home-delivered meal services. Conduct participant assessments, maintain essential records, and submit monthly reports while ensuring compliance with state and federal health regulations. Manage food service operations by receiving, storing, and distributing meals, maintaining cafeteria cleanliness, and adhering to strict food sanitation and safety codes. Assist with manual tasks including waiting tables, delivering trays, and cleaning utensils. Prepare daily meal counts and inventory calculations. Part-time role, 8:30am–2:30pm Monday through Friday. Requires one year of supervisory experience in food service, a valid NJ driver's license, and the ability to lift 25 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Part-Time position, 8:30am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday)
- One (1) year of supervisory experience in a cafeteria, food service or dining room facility
- Must possess a valid NJ driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Required to pass and maintain food sanitation tests (i.e ServSafe)

- Will be required to learn and utilize various computer programs: State database, Word, Excel for example
- Must be organized and self-motivated
- Ability to carry out recurring assignments independently and in accord with established procedures and policies
- Ability to develop and maintain effective work relations with supervisors, co-workers and public
- Ability to remember oral and written instructions and directions and to learn quickly from demonstrations
- Ability to train and supervise the performance of staff; assigns suitable assignments and instruction to staff
- Ability to see desired objectives are achieved
- Ability to establish and maintain good employee and participant relationships
- Ability to write descriptive reports using proper style and format
- Work to promote a healthy work environment
