Job Summary
Site Manager to oversee safe, quality-delivered civil engineering and water infrastructure projects in Devon and West Dorset. Responsible for day-to-day site setup, resource management (including subcontractors), liaison with Project Manager on performance and reporting, adherence to Network Plus SHEQW requirements, maintaining documentation (RAMS, Waste Management, CPP, COSHH, Programme, Street works notices, Communications), conducting site inductions and toolbox talks, coordinating weekly site meetings, managing the Contract P6 Programme updates, and overseeing handover and commissioning of new assets to SWW Operations. The role also includes monthly progress and financial reporting, and ensuring commercial success through change control and EW/instructions. Requirements include a degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering/Construction (preferable), H&S qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH/SMSTS), knowledge of NRSWA, Temporary Works Regulations, CDM 2015, NEC 4 contract knowledge, and strong communication and team-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction preferable
- H&S Qualification IOSH/NEBOSH/SMSTS or similar
- NRSWA Regulations
- Temporary Works Regulations TWC/S
- Financial awareness
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Work Regulations, CDM 2015 H&S at Work Act 1974
- Knowledge of contract law and appropriate Conditions of Contract NEC 4
- Competence, knowledge and experience in deep excavations, civils, drainage, structures and water-based schemes
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good team management and communication skills
- Good Computer Skills – Word, Excel, Microsoft Project etc.
- Clean Driving Licence
