Job Summary
Direct all wind farm operations at the site for maintenance and repair, focusing on customer relations, performance, and profitability. Lead and manage the site team, oversee maintenance/troubleshooting/repair of wind turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and manage the site budget, service logs, and reporting. Collaborate with engineering to develop strategies for improved maintenance and operation to deliver value and reduce service costs. Oversee financial performance (P&L), ensure timely reporting, write routine reports and service orders, and serve as direct line manager for all site personnel. Maintain strong customer relations and ensure safety, operational excellence, and opportunities for out-of-scope service opportunities. Landscaping responsibilities include developing personnel, guiding the team, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and site standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years’ experience in the wind industry with a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents and follow safety rules and procedures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle problems with at least one concrete variable in standardized situations
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening
- Employee must be physically fit to perform climbing and lifting requirements (lift/move up to 100 pounds, climb wind turbines, work in extreme weather)
- Must be capable of rescuing a teammate in an emergency
- Valid driving license (NON CDL / CDL)
