Site Manager, Macho Springs

Job Summary
Manage day-to-day wind operations at the Macho Springs facility, overseeing profit and loss budgets, preventative maintenance, and urgent outage resolution. Coordinate subcontractor activities, enforce safety programs, and optimize the CMMS system while ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance. Analyze performance metrics to drive operational optimization and prepare monthly budget variance reports for finance. Maintain relationships with landowners, stakeholders, and compliance agencies to secure operating licenses and manage royalty payments. Provide leadership for site operations and contractors, develop business cases for projects, and execute the site's business plan within the Director's strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Completed Post-secondary Degree specializing in Business or Engineering
- Certified Engineering Technologist
- advanced trade certificate
- 3-5 years of experience in leading operations and maintenance
- background in solar operations
- background in substations
- background in power plants
- background in the electrical discipline
- Outstanding ability to develop trusting long-term working relationships with main on-site turbine maintenance contractor
- Good project planning and execution skills
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure without perfect information
- Ability to build strong relationships with team members
- work in a collaborative and consultative manner with all levels of employee and corporate support groups
- Process oriented
- excellent communication, both written and oral
- Background in field operations
- solar industry experience
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- climb ladders and stairs
- Normal Business hours on-site 5 days a week, Monday through Friday
- after hours work required, on an as needed basis to achieve business objectives
- legally eligible to work in United States of America
