Job Summary
Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion, including scheduling subcontractors and tracking productivity and quantities. Review issued drawings such as P&IDs and shop drawings, maintain current sets, and assist in developing scopes of work and project schedules. Lead supervisory personnel and subcontractors in executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and resolving complaints within the workforce. Serve as the on-site safety officer, enforce company safety programs, and ensure QMS compliance while generating reports for continuous improvement. Assist the MEP Project Manager in vendor selection, estimate preparation, and change order drafting. Manage procurement of tools and materials to meet work schedules and set up and close out the construction site.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience
- Minimum 15 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Ability to read and interpret financial reports
- Ability to read and interpret legal/contract documents
- Basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to utilize tablets
- Ability to utilize smartphones
