Job Summary
Oversee daily plant operations, including scheduling personnel, directing workforce functions, and supervising all staff. Implement training and safety objectives while maintaining clear dialogue with customers to determine specific service needs. Establish and meet production and financial goals by developing capital budgets and administering discipline for rule violations. Manage plant purchasing, equipment maintenance, and repairs to ensure operational efficiency. Coordinate with customers to align services with specifications while driving profitability. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in manufacturing, with three to five years managing staff. Full-time role with competitive benefits including health, life, disability, and 401k matching.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on materials management, production, or engineering
- Previous responsibilities of purchasing, producing, inventory control, production control, and engineering, as well as shipping, receiving, and warehousing
- Three to five years' experience managing staff
- Previous experience with Profit and Loss responsibility
- Working knowledge of contract administration and safety/environmental compliance

- Experience in manufacturing, steel-industry, or other similar environment
- A proven track record of improving safety performance and goals
