Job Summary
Oversee, manage, and direct construction from beginning to end, coordinating closely with the Project Manager to create and manage the overall Site Construction Schedule. Issue weekly 3-week lookahead schedules, track inventory, and ensure all construction activities align with the project schedule, budget, and design. Act as the primary on-site contact for construction and liaison with head office, creating contractual documents for claims-free sub-contracts and managing site subcontractors while enforcing HSE standards. Plan to prevent and mitigate emerging problems, establish risk profiles, and ensure company policies are followed. Report daily and monthly progress to the project manager and customer, resolve site-related issues, and maintain accurate records of labor, plant, and non-compliant work. Communicate effectively in English and Swedish under high pressure to keep the project on track.
Required Qualifications
- Ten (10) or more years of construction-related experience
- Proficient with computer programs, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Blue Beam, Navisworks, and navigating 3D models
- OSHA standards and other site safety practices
- Organization and priority-defining skills
- Ability to listen, communicate (written and oral), and willingness to collaborate
- Communicate effectively in English and Swedish
- Lifting/carrying/moving 50 lbs
- may need to climb ladders
- cannot be afraid of heights
- will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site
- Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy area
Desired Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
- Experience in water/wastewater treatment preferred
