Job Summary

Oversee all biomedical service operations for assigned accounts in Marysville, Rideout, and Lodi, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory audits, and HIPAA standards. Serve as the primary customer contact, leading and mentoring the Biomedical team while coordinating outside vendors and managing service work orders. Drive vehicle operation to support frequent travel to healthcare facilities, optimizing labor, materials, and resources for high-quality service delivery. Maintain an organized, safe work environment through accurate reporting of parts and repairs in computerized maintenance systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong PC competency, including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and computer hardware
  • Advanced experience with complex test equipment, mechanical devices, tools, and electronic circuit boards/processors
  • Expertise in at least one specialty area within a single manufacturer
  • Proficient in networking technologies and troubleshooting methods
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record compliant with Block Imaging's driving policy
  • Associate degree or equivalent training/experience in electronics or Biomedical Engineering
  • 5 years servicing biomedical equipment
  • CBET Certification
  • Lean certification
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout various work environments for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching to access and service equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; heavier lifting may require assistance or mechanical aids
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools, small components, and electronic parts
  • Visual acuity and color perception sufficient to read schematics, calibrate equipment, and identify wiring or indicators
  • Ability to communicate clearly with healthcare and related facility staff, as well as document service activities accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in any situation where it is necessary
  • Compliance with hospital health and safety requirements
  • Ability to safely operate and enter/exit vehicles, drive for extended periods and work in varied environmental conditions with potential exposure to machinery, noise, and hazardous materials
  • Must be available for frequent travel to assigned healthcare facilities and flexibility of schedule
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
