Job Summary
Lead the Facility Operations Team to ensure process safety, worker safety, and cost optimization while monitoring daily plant operations and mitigating emergencies. Coordinate with Operational Excellence and Project Delivery teams during the design, build, commissioning, and start-up of the new facility, and support turnaround and shutdown planning and execution. Manage capital investments, maintenance costs, and scope justification, ensuring compliance with process hazard analysis, incident investigations, and management of change procedures. Develop direct reports and maintain engagement while administering company policies in alignment with Human Resources guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, preferably in Industrial Gas, Refining, and/or Chemicals
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
- Proven leadership capability in safety, environmental compliance, quality, reliability, productivity, and employee engagement
- Strong technical knowledge of ASU plant operations, maintenance coordination, troubleshooting, and reliability practices
- Strong working knowledge and experience in process safety programs including mechanical integrity, incident investigations (RCA), process hazard analysis (HAZOP/LOPA/OPHR), management of change (MOC), procedure development, and emergency response
- Proven ability to lead and influence direct staff reports as well as ability to lead by influence
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders/customers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- An engineering education background
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in commissioning and start-up of new plants
- Working knowledge of maintenance management systems (MMS/ERP) such as SAP
