Job Summary
Manage the execution phase of the Darlington New Nuclear Project's Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor construction, overseeing work planning, scheduling, and coordination of multiple scopes while ensuring compliance with contract and job cost estimates. Direct supervision of direct hire trade labor and subcontractors, including performance management, training verification, and daily field tours to monitor progress and safety. Enforce safety, quality, and human performance programs through regular site inspections and adherence to company policies. Collaborate with alliance partners, design engineers, and client representatives to resolve risks, develop recovery strategies, and maintain schedule integrity. Review and approve purchase requisitions, timesheets, and training requests within limits of authority.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years Civil/Structural construction and subcontractor supervision experience
- Knowledge of all aspects of construction such as technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, scheduling and safety requirements
- Must understand how to support a positive Safety Culture
- Ability to plan and manage installation sequences, coordinate with engineering to ensure constructability, and communicate updates to project teams and vendors
- Experience in managing complex nuclear construction projects
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints and specifications
- Must have a full appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industry
