Job Summary
Conduct site-specific food safety inspections and report sanitation issues to upper management. Coordinate and organize Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) while enforcing S3 and customer policies regarding chemical, food, and general employee safety. Provide and track assigned PPE for all staff, lead the "trained sanitor" training program, and assist in hiring potential sanitators. Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities and communicate customer needs and demands to leadership. Work under pressure in a safely and timely manner while managing both team and individual duties.
Required Qualifications
- Be cooperative and comfortable communicating with all S3 employees, S3 management, and S3 customers at all times
- Have a general understanding and be able to sufficiently examine as well as teach the process for examining all processing equipment in the plant
- Ability to work under pressure but in a safely and timely manner
- Must be comfortable consulting with upper management on any issues
- Must have basic computer skills, as well as proficient in Microsoft excel
- Must be comfortable working with a team as well as working alone
- Must be comfortable keeping up with paper and digital documents
- Must be detail oriented and keep detailed records on sanitation-related issues and activities
- Must be comfortable multi-tasking and performing duties successfully
- Must possess a strong knowledge in food safety and food safety regulations
- Must have a high school diploma (some college experience)
- Trained in S3 site manager training program. This includes but not limited to: food safety, chemical safety, GMPs, general safety, GHS, and HACCP
- Trained in any programs or areas the customer requires with respect to food safety
- I understand that FOOD SAFETY IS MY REPONSIBILITY and I will communicate any FOOD SAFETY issues to S3 upper management
Desired Qualifications
- Prior industry experience is preferred but not mandatory
