Job Summary
Manage the operation and maintenance of C-130J MATS simulators at Little Rock AFB, supervising technicians to meet preventive, corrective, and operational requirements. Coordinate maintenance shifts, schedule personnel assignments, and oversee site-level safety, security, and Government furnished equipment. Inform program managers of trainer availability and maintenance actions while enforcing Quality Control Plans and Work Instructions. Manage logistics for spare parts, repairables, and consumables, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely availability to support simulator readiness. Prepare reports, maintain records, and conduct periodic inventories to support contract reporting and program performance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-8 years of relative experience with military or equivalent commercial flight simulator/device
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge in work flow processes
- Knowledge in counseling procedures
- Knowledge in simulator operations
- Knowledge in crew schedules
- Knowledge in Quality Assurance
- Knowledge in safety
- Knowledge in security
- Knowledge in base operating procedures
- Experience or knowledge of complex training devices
- Experience or knowledge of mainframe computers
- Experience or knowledge of visual display systems
- Strong maintenance tasking and direction skills

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex word and technical documents/diagrams
- Ability to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals on complex subjects

- Must be willing and able to travel approximately 10% of the year to the C-130J sites as needed
- Domestic and International travel may be required
- Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds over head
- Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or airplane cockpit
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top or under the device
- Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the functioning of simulators and its surrounding environment
- Must be able to distinguish colors
- Must be able to work evening/weekend work and work outside of the Government site hours of operations when Program support is needed
