Job Summary
Own daily operations and launch execution at your secure facility, ensuring immaculate physical spaces, reliable utilities, and 99.9% operational availability for classified environments. Lead a cross-functional resident team of Security, IT, Finance, and Hospitality staff while partnering with HQ to streamline secure IT infrastructure and resolve customer friction instantly. Manage the site's operational budget and P&L, maintaining audit-readiness for government inspections and driving localized hiring to meet occupancy targets. Cultivate high-trust relationships with defense contractors and government officials to expand the customer pipeline. This role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance and 7+ years of defense or industrial operations experience, with a salary range of $150,000–$175,000.
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Immediate eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Top Secret/SCI security clearance on day one of employment
- Authorization to work in the United States
- U.S. citizenship
- 7+ years of experience managing physical and industrial operations within the defense, aerospace, hospitality or government sectors
- Experience leading, developing, and managing a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, operations-heavy environment
- Experience owning or contributing heavily to a site-level operational budget or P&L
- Ability to maintain a constant state of audit-readiness
- Ability to enforce physical, security, and IT/Cyber policies set by the CSO and VP of IT/Cyber
- Ability to pass government inspections
- Ability to cultivate daily, high-trust relationships with partner defense contractors, visiting government officials, and local government leadership
- Ability to represent Nooks externally at defense industry days, local government forums, and security recruiting events
- Ability to drive localized hiring and onboarding
- Ability to scale a facility's operational staff in direct alignment with quarterly tenant occupancy growth targets
- Ability to maintain operational spend within strict quarterly targets
- Ability to direct capital expenditure toward high-yield initiatives
- Ability to ensure the site passes government inspections with flying colors
- Ability to deliver a site culture that marries strict classified security compliance with a premier hospitality mindset
- Ability to ensure visitors feel both highly secure and genuinely welcomed
- Ability to remove customer friction instantly
- Ability to step in as the primary local problem-solver to resolve IT, security, hospitality, or facility hiccups
- Ability to drive the site's local feedback loop
- Ability to translate insights into immediate, proactive improvements to product and customer experience
- Ability to keep the facility running smoothly every day
- Ability to ensure the physical space is immaculate
- Ability to ensure utilities are completely reliable
- Ability to ensure secure shared office environments (SCIFs) maintain 99.9% operational availability
- Ability to own both daily operations and launch execution at a facility
- Ability to lead both active customer operations and contribute to the physical construction, launch, and expansion of new secure spaces
- Ability to partner with corporate HQ teams to ensure the site gets the support it needs
- Ability to clarify who makes the final call on daily decisions
- Ability to streamline secure IT infrastructure
- Ability to partner with the IT/Cyber Team on deployments
- Ability to verify that local network installations meet 100% of defense partner technical requirements prior to tenant move-in
- Ability to hold team members accountable to site performance and service standards
- Ability to serve as the localized executive and single point of accountability for a site
- Ability to lead a resident, cross-functional team of Security, IT/Cyber, Finance, Hospitality, Customer Success, Growth, and facilities professionals
- Ability to deliver a premium, secure user experience
- Ability to hold dual-accountability for both the ongoing high-fidelity daily operations of active facilities and the hands-on construction, launch, and physical expansion of new secure workspaces
