Job Summary

Lead Busbar service projects from factory testing through site acceptance, coordinating start-up, commissioning, and inspection activities for large, high-profile customers. Represent Service at all customer and contractor meetings, review scope of work on sales orders, and define man-power needs to ensure sufficient staff for daily start-up and site testing. Gather documentation including submittals and as-built drawings, while providing first-level technical support to speed problem resolution. Monitor jobs for timely completion, manage issues lists, and provide daily status reports to management and customers. Assist contractors during installation and technical questions, conduct on-site training, and deliver final commissioning reports. Coordinate with order management, logistics, and warranty groups to escalate conflicts, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and the "14 hours rule." Maintain customer satisfaction rates through clear communication and estimated time of arrival updates.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent
Six years minimum same or similar work experience
High school education or equivalent
Construction management experience
Critical infrastructure expertise with Switchgear, Busbar and Power Distribution
Knowledge of construction, electrical and mechanical contracting
Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing processes, data center infrastructure and commissioning processes
Solid foundation of electrical power theory and application including thorough understanding of applicable safety procedures
Expert analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written)
Valid driver's license
Must be able to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and blueprints
Ability to summarize and report all work related tasks performed
Ability to give technical assistance via the telephone to customers on a regular basis
Independently evaluate, recognize, and recommend acceptable customer solutions based upon site evaluation
Recommend and direct activities at a customer site by leading technical activities of other technicians at a customer site
Must have ability to regularly lift at least 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Strong computer skills including editing, formatting and using templates in Microsoft Word
Use of Internet for standards/products/manufacturer research
Operation of computer-controlled test equipment
Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
